The Indian version is much better in terms of charging
The Motorola Moto G54 is official and ready to ship in China and India, but the two markets get slightly different versions of the phone.
The key components are shared though, starting with the 6nm Dimensity 7020 chipset packaged with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Upfront, there’s a 6.5-inch 1080x2400px IPS LCD of 120Hz refreh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
The Motorola Moto G54 has a 50MP main camera and a 16MP selfie camera. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging. The phone measures 8.04mm thick and weighs 179.7 grams. The secondary camera on the back is a mere 2MP depth helper.
The phone comes in three Vegan Leather finishes: Blue, Green, and Magenta. It is currently available for purchase in China for CNY 1,099, which is approximately ₱7,888*.
Indian Moto G54 has a larger 6,000mAh battery – that’s around 16% extra capacity. It’s also faster to charge with a pre-bundled 33W brick in the box.
The Moto G54 for India packs a higher-end 12/256GB configuration to go along with the 8/128GB. The G54 premiers the Dimensity 7020 chipset to the Indian market.
This G54 is also thicker at 8.89mm, and heavier at 192 grams. It features a “glass-like” plastic finish on its three colorways – Mint Green, Midnight Blue, and Pearl Blue.
In India, the Moto G54 will have a better camera system than the China-bound version. The main camera will be a 50MP sensor, and it will be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide unit with autofocus. The phone will also be updated to Android 14 and will receive three years of security updates.
The Moto G54 will be available in India in two configurations: 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will be available in three colors: Mint Green, Pearl Blue, and Midnight Blue. The phone will go on sale on September 6, and pricing will be confirmed soon.
