Motorola X40’s performance revealed higher than Dimensity 9200

While not as popular as they used to around five years ago, Motorola is still rocking it with chart-topping benchmark scores and innovations

The Moto X40 is anticipated to be introduced by Motorola in China soon. It will be among the first smartphones that have the mobile Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro version of the same gadget is anticipated to make its debut early in 2019. Prior to release, Chen Jin, Group General Manager for Mobile at Lenovo, disclosed the X40’s AnTuTu score.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 will compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. According to a recent study, the D9200 received a score of 1,266,1012 on AnTuTu.

The upcoming Moto X40, which uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, has now received a higher score of 1,312,901 according to the screenshot Chen Jin shared.

Moto X40’s AnTuTu score

Since there isn’t a significant difference in the benchmark results of the two chips, it appears that the SD8G2 chip may provide marginally better performance than the D9200 chip.

This year is anticipated to see the release of the Vivo X90 Pro+, the Xiaomi 13 series, the iQOO 11 lineup, and the OnePlus 11. With Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors, they are all premium smartphones.

These gadgets should score similarly on AnTuTu as well. The SD8G2 is a 4nm device with a 3.2GHz Cortex-X3 primary core, two performance Kryo Cortex-A715 cores running at 2.8GHz each, two performance Kryo Cortex-A510 cores running at 2.8GHz each, and one efficiency Kryo core running at 2.0GHz.

Recent sightings of the Moto X40 at TENAA revealed all of its key features. The 6.67-inch OLED that comes with the gadget has curved edges on all four sides. It will support an under-display fingerprint scanner, 10-bit colors, and an FHD+ resolution. The gadget will be powered by the Android 13 OS with MY UI 5.0.

It is anticipated that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphone would ship with up to 512 GB of internal storage and up to 18 GB of LPDDR5x RAM. A 5,000mAh battery with 68W rapid charging may be inside. On the front, it will have a 60-megapixel selfie camera, and the back will have three cameras that are 50 MP main, 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 12 MP telephoto.
