Nothing Phone 2a may launch this coming MWC and the next-gen Nothing Phone 3 is allegedly set for July.
Many people are waiting for the next-generation smartphone of the British consumer electronics brand, Nothing. But numerous leaks suggested two smartphones: one flagship and one midrange. In a more recent tip, the launch date for both alleged devices was revealed.
If you’re not informed, Nothing Phone 2a is a midrange smartphone slated for release this year. It’s rumored to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display panel with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also speculated having the following camera specs:
- 50MP Samsung S5KGN9 main camera with a 1/1.5-inch sensor and 1.0 micron pixel size.
- 50Mp Samsung S5KJN1 ultrawide camera with 1/2.76-inch sensor size and 0.64 micron pixel size.
- 32MP front-facing Sony IMX615 camera.
Nothing Phone 2a is rumored to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7000 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage. The battery capacity is yet to be confirmed.
According to a report, the device has four SKUs, including PacmanIND (India), PacmanJPN (Japan), PacmanEEA (Europe), and Pacman (Global). The device is likely to debut in black and white color families.
Specs about Nothing Phone 3 are scarce but you can expect that it’ll be powered by something like Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Nothing Phone 2 rolled out with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, so opting for Gen 2 means a better price tag than going for Gen 3.
So, when can we expect these two phones? A tipster on Twitter revealed that Nothing Phone 2a is arriving sometime in Q1 2024, while the Phone 3 is expected around July. If that’s true, Nothing Phone 2a may be announced at the Mobile World Congress happening on February 27 in Spain.
