OPPO recently launched two new budget-friendly smartphones in the A-series: the A1s and A1i. Both phones boast stylish designs and impressive features for their price range.
A1s: Power and Style
The A1s comes in three eye-catching colors: Dusk Mountain Purple, Tianshuibi Green, and Night Sea Black. It features a large 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate for a great viewing experience. Under the hood, the A1s packs a punch with a powerful 2.2GHz 6nm Dimensity 6020 processor, 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and ample storage options of 256GB or 512GB UFS 2.2.
The A1s is equipped with a triple-camera system, featuring a 50MP main sensor for capturing stunning photos, a 2MP monochrome sensor for depth effects, and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.
A1i: Value-Packed Performance
The A1i offers a sleek design in Night Black and Phantom Purple. It features a slightly smaller 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate for a balance between screen size and resolution. Powered by the same 2.2GHz 6nm Dimensity 6020 processor, the A1i comes with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of storage.
While focusing on affordability, the A1i still offers a capable 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.
Shared Features and Availability
Both the A1s and A1i come equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint reader for secure unlocking and a 3.5mm headphone jack for convenient audio access. They also support 5G connectivity, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and dual SIM functionality. The phones run the latest Android 14 operating system out of the box.
The A1s and A1i are currently available for pre-order in China, with prices starting at around PHP 8.6K (converted from CNY). They will be officially on sale starting April 19th, 2024, in China. There is no information yet on availability in other markets.
