OPPO Reno 11 is now available in Malaysia. Processors of global versions are different compared to the Chinese models.
The OPPO Reno 11 series has landed in Southeast Asia, appearing with MediaTek chipsets. The launch of the series in Malaysia featured two models: the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro.
If you’ve been keeping tabs, the OPPO Reno 11 lineup was first launched in China then received an official rollout in more regions. However, there’s a caveat in the global models of this Reno series.
According to a report, OPPO Reno 11 sports a 6.7-inch OLED display with HDR10+ and 120 Hz refresh rate. But the amazing screen seemed neutralized by MediaTek Dimensity 7050, less powerful than Dimensity 8200 on the Chinese model.
The global OPPO Reno 11 also features 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal storage, and a triple-rear camera setup. The cameras are a 50-MP main shooter, 8-MP ultrawide sensor, and 32-MP telephoto lens. Users can click for selfies with the 32-MP front-facing lens.
The OPPO Reno 11 Pro appeared to have the same fate. The same report suggested that this model is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200, instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 found on the Chinese version. The chipset is paired with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
The Pro version has a slightly sharper display with 10-bit color depth. The screen is also 6.7 inches with HDR10+ and 120 Hz refresh rate. The rear cameras are quite similar with 50-MP main shooter, 8-MP ultrawide sensor, and 32-MP telephoto lens. The selfie camera is 32-MP as well.
Both Reno 11 smartphones seem to have powerful cameras but we’ll know more in the coming days.
The OPPO Reno 11 costs RM 2,199 or ₱26,547.17 while the OPPO Reno 11 Pro costs RM 2,499 or ₱30,168.89 in Malaysia.
