Sleek, compact, and well-rounder, that’s the POCO X6 offering a wide range of features for casual users and enthusiasts.
The #POCO X6 smartphone can capture landscapes and moments on the go, keep gamers on their toes, entertain users with its immersive display, and sublime music lovers anytime, anywhere.
The POCO X6 is contained in a black box, albeit with the phone’s label and its brand written in yellow. Lifting the top part showed a yellow package containing everything you need to get started.
This package has the SIM ejector pin, user manual, safety information, and a phone case. Get that out of the way and the phone is yours for the taking.
Below the phone is a paper separator that covers the USB cable and charging brick, which supports 67-watt fast charging.
The POCO X6 is protected by a plastic mesh and its display has a screen protector already installed. You may opt for a tempered glass to protect the main screen from scratches and drops.
The POCO X6 variant we received is the color blue and it looks sophisticated with its curved corners. The punch hole at the top of the screen is easy to spot under sufficient light, while the back features the large camera island.
The bottom of the phone holds the USB-C port, speaker grille, card tray, and a microphone. The volume rockers and power key are placed at the right side while the left side is plain and smooth. The top is where you’ll find the 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, another microphone, and the second speaker grille.
Exploring the hard buttons revealed that the volume rockers are very accessible using either the left or right hand. But you may need to get used to the placement of the power key.
The rear side of the handset features a big camera island where the triple-camera setup is. Two of them are in large circular modules while the other one is inside a smaller circular module, with the flash just below it. At the far right, you’ll see the POCO logo and the “64MP OIS” text.

Ergonomically, the smartphone feels light when held and the grip is just right; not too slippery or too stern. You can admire the design of POCO X6 with three or four fingers without getting anxious about dropping it.
The back panel, however, is a fingerprint magnet so you need to clean it often. To mitigate that, use the POCO-designed phone case included in the box. The case is perfect for the phone and it increases the grip and protects the camera bumps.
Don’t worry about the case interfering with fingerprint security because the POCO X6 has its fingerprint sensor under the display.
The POCO X6 features a 6.67-inch CrystalRes 1.5K Flow AMOLED DotDisplay panel. Online content when browsing and scrolling is crisp and charming to look at. When watching high-resolution videos, they will pop out and immerse you.
If smoothness is your thing, expect nothing less from POCO X6 because this smartphone supports 120 Hz refresh rate. Scrolling on social media, browsers, or even streaming platforms is a breeze.
That same max refresh rate is useful for gamers too! In-game elements, character movement, and visual effects are fluid and smooth as butter; definitely needed for first-person shooting games and MOBAs.
No need to worry about delayed response when gaming because the POCO X6 has an instant touching sampling rate of 2160 Hz. This rate ensures that every tap you do takes effect immediately to lead you to victory.
The bezels are thin and that’s a great sign of immersion when watching and gaming. Even reading ebooks and webtoons is incredible; not to mention the smooth scrolling to boot.
Using the smartphone under bright conditions is impressive. No surprise since POCO X6 sports a peak brightness of 1800 nits! You can browse online, shoot unforgettable moments, and more outdoors no matter how high the sun is.
Here are some of the other things the phone’s display has to offer:
|100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut
|PWM dimming rate
|Corning Gorilla Glass Victus
The POCO X6 is a midrange smartphone capable of dishing out performance when needed. It’s powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and Adreno 710 GPU. The device we have comes with a 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, so we can expect fast performance and smooth loading of apps.
During our performance test, the phone scored 582,698 on AnTuTu, beating a lot in the competition and showing that it’s powerful for day-to-day tasks and even mid-level to hardcore gaming. Since the phone is powered by a four-nanometer chipset, heat shouldn’t be a problem for nonstop use.
Speaking of games, we tested the device and it definitely showed us it’s a force to be reckoned with in the midrange segment.
You can play at the highest quality on many AAA mobile games on POCO X6. We tried that on Genshin Impact and while in-game elements from afar are not displayed in full quality, the phone can run it on the highest graphics setting at 60 FPS.
Although there are a few stutters, POCO X6 plays the title normally without excessive heat. We even turned on the performance mode in the Game Turbo and the heat remains stable.
It suggests no thermal throttling or forcing the processor to lower its performance because of overheating. Explore the open world without worry thanks to optimized performance.
Call of Duty Mobile runs great on POCO X6 as well, with both graphics and FPS set at very high. Mobile Legends Bang Bang, naturally, runs super on this phone at ultra graphics and super FPS. Check out these titles in action below.
The POCO X6 is a very good platform for light, moderate, and even heavy gaming without breaking the bank. It doesn’t heat up at high graphics and FPS and it loads even resource-hungry games without a hitch.
The primary camera is a 64-MP sensor accompanied by the 8-MP ultrawide sensor and 2-MP macro lens.
Capturing beautiful landscapes and amazing moments won’t be a problem as the main rear camera supports optical image stabilization. Blurs caused by moving subjects and jerking effects during video recording are incredibly reduced.
In our camera tests, the photos can capture details but you need to be aware of the lighting because it’s critical on every shot. Too much light may wash some details and increase color saturation, while too less may deny details, especially elements under low-light or shade. Use the HDR mode to balance the lighting and bring out the most optimized picture.
Portrait shots looked great on POCO X6. The subject is perfectly isolated and the background is properly blurred.
Ultrawide shots surely get more subjects within a single frame. Though, the captures are a bit distorted just like on many other smartphones. It’s not impactful if there are multiple subjects since the goal is to capture the group.
The 16-MP selfie camera seems more balanced than the main sensor. The details of the true subject are clear and sharp in broad daylight, the colors are just right, and the lighting looks natural. Many users prefer this kind of result – closer to what the eyes can see.
However, the Portrait mode is slightly off compared to what the main camera can do. The details, color, and lighting are precise except the cutout looks obvious and may require a redo to get that right.
Check out the clip below for the video recording power of POCO X6.
The POCO X6 can last all-day long, thanks to its 5100 mAh battery unit. If you need to charge the device quickly, you can juice it up in a flash with its 67-watt turbo charging technology supported by the in-box charger.

The front camera assistant is an excellent addition if you’re a WeChat user. Meanwhile, Color Scheme includes a customizable option to let you adjust parameters the way you want them.
