realme GT5 Pro teaser vid, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and first reveal date confirmed

The realme GT5 Pro has been teased as its official rollout is imminent. If you’re a realme fan or looking for your next smartphone, then this is perhaps for you.

According to a post on Weibo, the upcoming smartphone comes with an incredible display panel having the following technical features:

  • 8T LTPO panel
  • 144Hz refresh rate
  • 2,160Hz touch sampling frequency
  • 1.5K display resolution
  • Local peak brightness of 4,500 nits
  • Global peak brightness of 1,600 nits
  • DC dimming and 2,160Hz high frequency PWM dimming
  • 20,000 brightness levels

If the display has many features, the realme GT5 Pro is more than just a flagship. It’s also a potential gaming smartphone with very high FPS and touch sampling rate for action and shooting games.

The display has been previously reported with a size 6.78 inches and a curved design. Though the curveness is barely noticeable. 

In terms of imaging, the rear cameras are contained in a circular camera island. There are three cameras per the teaser video and it includes the 50MP periscope Sony IMX890 sensor, which has 3x optical and 6x lossless zoom.

As for the price, a report found that the base version of realme GT5 Pro will cost CNY 3,500 or ₱27,376.78. But that price tag doesn’t seem to include taxes and such.

The official global launch of the realme GT5 Pro is yet to be confirmed, but the first reveal will take place on December 7.
