Redmi is set to launch the Redmi 12 4G in India on August 1st. The company will also launch the Xiaomi Smart TV X series and the Redmi Watch 3 Active alongside the Redmi 12
According to a leak, the Redmi 12 5G will be available in two variants: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. The starting price of the 5G variant is expected to be Rs 13,999(₱9,351.28).
The Redmi 12 4G will be available in two variants: 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The starting price of the 4G variant is expected to be Rs 9,999(₱6,679.30).
Both smartphones have a 6.79-inch IPS LCD 90Hz display, a 5,000mAh battery, and 18W charging. The Redmi 12 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, while the Redmi 12 4G is powered by the Helio G88 chip. For the cameras, the Redmi 12 5G has a 50-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera system, while the Redmi 12 4G has a 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera system. Both devices will run on Android 13 OS with the MIUI 14 UI on top.
It is not yet confirmed whether the Redmi 12 5G will be launched alongside the Redmi 12 4G on August 1st. However, the leak suggests that both devices will be available in India soon.
