Redmi Note 12 Turbo cheaper variant with smaller storage introduced!

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand recently expanded its Redmi Note 12 series by introducing the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. This time they’ve just launched a more budget-friendly option for all the storage-savvy folks. It is a 128GB version of the Note 12 Turbo.

Pricing

This new variant comes packed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is priced at just 1799 yuan which is around Php 13,985, making it the most affordable model in the lineup. However, there’s a catch – for now, it’s only available to Xiaomi fans in China. We’ll have to wait for updates on when it’ll be available globally.

Display

The phone sports a beautiful 6.67-inch OLED screen with a crisp FHD+ resolution. It boasts a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, a wide 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The display is truly immersive, thanks to its center-aligned punch-hole cutout, slim bezels, and an impressive 93.45 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Performance

Under the hood, the Note 12 Turbo is powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor. It offers up to a whopping 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring seamless multitasking and ample storage space for all your needs. To keep things cool, Xiaomi has included a 3725mm vapor cooling chamber in the smartphone. And don’t worry about running out of juice – the device packs a mighty 5,000mAh battery that supports super-fast 67W charging.

Cameras

Moving on to the camera department, the Note 12 Turbo features a sleek design with three camera sensors neatly arranged, no bulky camera module here! The setup includes a 64MP main lens with optical image stabilization (OIS) support for steady shots, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro unit. For those stunning selfies, there’s a 16MP front-facing camera. The phone runs on MIUI 14, based on Android 13, offering a feature-rich and user-friendly interface.
