The next nova Series will likely be powered by the Kirin 9010 chipset and even features XMAGE tech.
The HUAWEI Pura 70 series is the brand’s most powerful smartphone lineup today. One of its striking features is the camera, capable of capturing true-to-life scenes and jaw-dropping portraits.
Unfortunately, Pura 70 devices aren’t exactly attainable for everyone considering the price. But HUAWEI may let users get the Pura experience at an affordable price tag through the upcoming nova 13.
The series’ nova 13 Pro and nova 13 Ultra are reportedly getting the Kirin 9010, the same processor on the Pura 70. Plus, the two nova phones are rumored to have the XMAGE camera, the same on the HUAWEI Pura and Mate series.
In terms of the processor, there’s a slight downside. The Kirin 9010 drew 50% more power than the Snapdragon 870 and was 30% slower than the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, according to tests.
But Kirin 9010 scored over 970K on AnTuTu 10, all the while yielding incredible photos. Besides, the Pura 70 series comes with big batteries to ensure all-day use.
Anyway, if the HUAWEI 70 series starts at CNY 5,499 or around ₱43K, the nova 13 series may start at CNY 3,000 or ₱23K.
The HUAWEI nova 13 is rumored to have 1.5K display resolution, a curved screen, a periscope telephoto lens, 5G, and satellite connectivity. It’s tentatively scheduled for launch in Q2 2024.
