Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 accidentally revealed in press renders!

Samsung is gearing up to launch their next-gen foldable devices, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The big event will happen on July 26 in Seoul, marking the first-ever Unpacked event solely dedicated to these foldable wonders.

According to MySmartPrice, the global launch of these devices will be on August 11 in the US and Canada, just a short while after the Seoul launch. Let’s check out the leaked press render of the anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Now, this leaked image comes in a snazzy Blue color option, but don’t worry, folks, there will be more color choices to suit your taste. One thing that catches the eye is the presence of the S Pen, which might be sold separately, just like with the previous model.

Moving on to the design, we notice that the USB Type-C port, speaker grills, and microphone placements are pretty similar to the previous generation device. The back of the phone flaunts a triple rear camera setup, which seems to be reminiscent of the Galaxy Fold 4. But here’s the kicker—the Galaxy Fold 5 might just surprise us with a slimmer bezel, offering a larger screen-to-body ratio for a truly immersive viewing experience.

Now, the leaked image doesn’t spill all the beans, unfortunately. But overall, the design appears quite similar to its predecessor, with the exception of that sleeker bezel. So, don’t expect a major design overhaul this time around from Samsung.

Speculations suggest that Samsung equipped this device with their custom-developed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the same powerful processor found in their flagship Galaxy S23 series. Geekbench listings even suggest that the Fold 5’s SoC boasts the same clock speed as the S23 series—talk about horsepower!

Here’s a rundown of the expected specifications for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5:

  • Main Display: 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED display, sporting a new water-drop hinge design, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added durability, and a silky smooth refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Plus, QHD+ resolution for crystal-clear visuals.
  • Cover Display: Flip the phone shut, and you’ll find a handy 6.2-inch AMOLED display on the outside. It’s got a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a crisp Full HD+ resolution.
  • Powering this beast is none other than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Expect blazing-fast performance, whether you’re multitasking or gaming like a boss.
  • When it comes to memory, you’ll have the option of 8GB or 12GB of RAM, along with generous storage choices ranging from 256GB to a whopping 1TB. That’s right, folks, plenty of space for all your apps, photos, and videos.
  • The Galaxy Z Fold 5 likely has a 4400mAh battery, complete with 45W fast charging support to keep you juiced up. And yes, wireless charging at 25W is also on the menu.
  • Let’s not forget about the cameras! On the rear, you’ll find a powerful 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. For your selfie needs, there’s a 12MP camera on both the cover screen and the foldable display. Get ready to capture some stunning shots!
  • Software-wise, you can expect the phone to come preloaded with One UI 5.1, Samsung’s user-friendly interface, based on the latest Android 13.
