Repair services for Philippine Black Hawks are much more accessible!
Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), has announced today that they have entered into an international reseller agreement with Asian Aerospace Corporation. This agreement designates Asian Aerospace Corporation as the exclusive authorized reseller of Sikorsky spare parts and repair services for the Black Hawk helicopter family of products in the Philippines.
“Sikorsky has joined forces with Asian Aerospace to participate in public tenders, utilizing their local expertise to efficiently navigate the Philippine procurement procedures. This collaboration will ensure that customers have access to OEM-approved, top-quality parts to support their rapidly expanding fleet,” explained Felipe Benvegnu, Sikorsky’s global sustainment director. “Sikorsky is putting in place adaptable strategies to meet the maintenance requirements of the growing fleet, and Asian Aerospace plays a vital role in this strategy.”
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) currently operates a fleet of 15 S-70i Black Hawk helicopters and is expected to receive an additional 32 aircraft over the next three years, making it the largest S-70i operator globally.
