Smart Prepaid eSIM: Get up to 21GB of FREE data for PHP 99

Smart Communications, the Philippines’ leading telecommunications company, has launched its eSIM for prepaid subscribers. The eSIM comes with up to 21GB of free data, making it a great option for those looking for a convenient and affordable way to connect to the internet

This new embedded SIM will allow users to subscribe to the local telco’s services without the physical SIM. Users will just have to activate the Prepaid eSIM to a compatible smartphone.

Currently, only select premium smartphones from HUAWEI, Samsung, and Apple are compatible. Most of which are 5G-ready.

Because each new SIM that has been activated is required to be registered, consumers are incentivized to register with 5GB of FREE data. Moreover, if they download the GigaLife app, the user will get an additional 16GB of FREE data.

How to activate your Smart Prepaid eSIM?

1. Go to your device settings.

a. For iOS, select Cellular and Add Cellular Plan.

b. For Android, select SIM Card Manager and Add Mobile Plan.

2. Scan the QR code and follow the activation steps.

3. Register your eSIM thru the smart.com.ph/simreg website to get your FREE 5GB data.

4. Download the GigaLife app from your Apple AppStore or the Google Play Store and receive your FREE 16GB data.

5. Keep your eSIM card in a safe place.

Currently however, Smart Communications only allows the conversion of a physical SIM to an eSIM for its Postpaid subscribers. Prepaid subscribers will have to wait until the service becomes available. This means that Prepaid subscribers who want to use eSIM will have to get a new number which they also have to register.
