Two new Snapdragon processors surfaced. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Lite is equipped on some phones already and another SM7675 has confused people.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen series is the brand’s current powerhouse lineup, with the Gen 4 getting a staggering 3 million points on AnTuTu. But that model is unlikely to be the end of the series, according to a tipster.
A report revealed that popular tipster Digital Chat Station shared details about a new chip, codenamed SM8635, a 4-nanometer SoC with a 2.9GHz Cortex X4 and Adreno 735 graphics. Although not the upcoming flagship, this model scored more than 1.7 million points.
The same report suggested that this yet-to-be-confirmed chipset may be Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Lite. But another tipster unveiled another SoC with a different codename.
On Twitter, the tipster mentioned the SM7675 SoC, reportedly as Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, and questioned its difference from SM8635. They also claimed that the two are very identical and are for the same chipset.
While the truth isn’t known yet, some users expressed their opinions. One replied that it’s about the clock speed and another pointed at different markets.
Regardless, some phones are rumored already equipped with the alleged Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Lite, including POCO F6, Redmi Note 13 Turbo, and an upcoming iQOO Neo series.
