Get ready for the new Surface device and the sidekick of the Snapdragon X Elite CPU, unveiling this May.
A new revolution in mobile computing is happening this year and it’ll be started by two tech giants. Microsoft is busy prepping the next Windows version for the ARM event, while Qualcomm is gearing up the next-generation processors for it.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 10 OLED is rumored to debut with the new OS and Snapdragon X Plus. Confused? This is the buddy of the flagship Snapdragon X Elite.
The chipset was spotted on Geekbench codenamed “OEMMN” and was detailed with Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview 64-bit. The processor that accompanied it was “Snapdragon X Plus X1P6100 – Qualcomm Oryon CPU” with 10 cores.
The base clock speed was at 3.42 GHz. Four of the cores seemed performance cores while the others were efficiency cores. It scored 2,410.
To compare, the Snapdragon X Elite boasts 12 identical cores, where two were clocked at 4.3 GHz. Another difference was the X65 modem: built-in on the Snapdragon X Plus but external on the X Elite.
The Surface Pro 10 OLED may have two RAM configurations in 16GB and 32GB and three storage variants in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The device may be unveiled on May 20.
