TCL giving more mobile users access to 5G experience with the new 50 series smartphones.
Another brand is making the 5G network more accessible for consumers. Chinese electronics firm TCL has announced the latest 50 series with seven smartphones.
The TCL 50 series succeeds the TCL 40 NXTPAPER phones. But the new series boasts affordable 5G devices for consumers. Besides having 5G, the series also features dual speakers and big displays.
As of writing, seven models are included in the TCL 50 series and these are:
- TCL 50 SE
- TCL 50 5G
- TCL 50 XE NXTPAPER 5G
- TCL 50 XL NXTPAPER 5G
- TCL 50 XL 5G
- TCL 50 XE 5G
- TCL 50 LE
Of seven, five are 5G-ready but regardless of the model, a user is guaranteed with dual speakers. Here are the highlights on three of them:
TCL 50 Model | Key Features |
TCL 50 XL 5G | 6.8” 1080p (FHD+) 120Hz display, 8GB RAM with RAM expansion, 5010mAh battery, and DTS audio for dual speakers |
TCL 50 XE 5G | 6.6” 720p (HD+) 90Hz display, 8GB RAM with RAM expansion, 5010mAh battery, 50MP triple camera |
TCL 50 LE | 6.6” 720p (HD+) 90Hz display, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, 4000mAh battery, 13MP hybrid camera |
According to the official announcement, these three models cater to specific user needs. It seems that TCL 50 XL 5G is meant for those who want bigger screens for better viewing.
The TCL XE 5G, on the other hand, has a more balanced screen-to-performance ratio with a triple camera for users who love photography. And finally, the TCL 50 LE is for those who want a more compact, on-the-go smartphone.
While the global rollout is yet to be confirmed, TCL revealed that five models will be dedicated to the US market: TCL 50 XL NXTPAPER 5G, TCL 50 XE NXTPAPER 5G, TCL 50 XL 5G, TCL 50 XE 5G, and TCL 50 LE.
