Tecno Pova Neo 2 just launched in Russia today with official store drops at October 3rd, a massive battery, another Helio chipset and a futuristic back design, what could go wrong?
A 6.82-inch HD+ display that’s also in 1640 x 720 resolution made from IPS LCD, and 263 ppi makes this an indoor type-smartphone due to low brightness it has. However, the 90Hz refresh rate makes up for it. The MediaTek Helio G85 is a decent choice for Tecno Pova Neo 2, but still can’t quite cut it when it comes to gaming and multitasking.
It’s available in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, with a 64GB or 128GB internal storage, both versions of the Tecno Pova Neo 2 has a microSD slot for expandability. As for the cameras, a 16MP main, a 2MP depth, and an 8MP front camera seals the deal as you will able to get decent photos and videos out of it.
The Tecno Pova Neo 2 is dual-SIM capable, 4G LTE, has all the tools you need for connectivity including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB-C type port. There’s still the headphone jack present, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and it runs on Android 12 with their custom HiOS 8.6.
When it comes to battery management, you can never go wrong with the Tecno Pova Neo 2’s 7,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. You can choose from these three colors: Virtual Blue, Uranolite Gray, and our favorite: Orange Magma. The smartphone looks like a rugged phone from afar but upon closer inspection, it’s just a really intricate design.
The 4/64GB variant is priced around PHP 12,000 converted from Russian rubles, and around PHP 14,000 for the 6/128GB one. But we think that price can be lower once it is launched here in the Philippines.
