Xiaomi 13T series launch date and venue now official

New Xiaomi 13T lineup is going live later this month and two phones are rumored to be attending the event.

The Xiaomi 13T lineup seems fully set and ready for the grand premiere, scheduled this month. But for those who’ve been following the scene, the Xiaomi 13T series was supposed to be live last week.

Xiaomi’s CEO and founder Lei Jun revealed the scheduled and launch venue of the Xiaomi 13T series. It will be held in Berlin, Germany with livestreaming on Mi.com on September 26.

Jun also added that the Xiaomi 13T is co-engineered with Leica, which means the phones will have Leica filters and other related stuff. But what wasn’t unveiled is the number of phones in this lineup. So, it isn’t known yet if this year’s series will mimic the last one. Xiaomi 12T series only featured mid-range to flagship models, composed of three: Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 12T Pro, and Xiaomi 12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition.

Rumors go that Xiaomi 13T will include two phones, 13T and 13T Pro, with the latter claimed as a version of the China-exclusive Redmi K60 Ultra or Extreme Edition. If that’s true, the specs might include MediaTek Dimensity 9200+, Immortalis-G715, up to 24GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, a triple-rear camera setup, 5000mAh battery, and 120w fast charging. We’ll know the truth once the series goes live later this month.

Xiaomi 13T’s launch may be linked to the company’s Q2 2023 earning report, wherein the revenue was seen equivalent to 147% year-over-year growth. A total of 32.9 million smartphones were shipped in that period.
