Xiaomi SU7 official interior revealed: Physical buttons, sports seats, HUD

Xiaomi is ready to deploy its first EV in SU7, complete with sports seats, physical keys, and a heat pump for winter.

The Xiaomi SU7 will become a star in the upcoming Beijing Auto Show this year. The brand’s very first electric vehicle has finally been unveiled, particularly the interior details that many are waiting for.

Focus, comfort, and control are some of the words that can describe Xiaomi SU7. The driver’s seat gives the perfect view of the large 56-inch HUD, physical buttons, console, and the Tesla-like steering wheel.

Although it may not wow everyone, Xiaomi did its homework by adding the physical buttons at the right of the steering wheel. These buttons give the driver easy access to the aircon, ride height, rear wing spoiler adjustment, and the start/stop switch.

The HUD shows every crucial info in front of the driver without being obstructive. The center console looks high enough that the driver can conveniently spot for a quick check. Combined with the wrap-around doors and low dashboard, the driver’s seat and front passenger’s seat are placed in a cozy and posh environment.

Despite having the body of a sedan, the Xiaomi SU7 has the spirit of a sports car. It literally boasts sports seats to give the driver a low-seating position and excellent forward visibility. These front seats are single shells having fixed headrests, high side bolsters, and deep backrests, plus raised side bolsters.

In a video, the demo suggested coziness even under extreme cold. The company created a heat pump so drivers can play with SU7 on icy roads at minus 33 degrees Celsius.

Xiaomi SU7 will start delivery in the first half of the year. Unofficial sources suggest that the entry-level 295 hp model costs around ₱2.3 million (CNY 300,000), while the powerful 673 hp model costs ₱2.8 million (CNY 361,400).
