First EV sedan by Xiaomi is powered by HyperOS and Smart Cabin for “human-centric interaction.”
Chinese electronics manufacturer Xiaomi is launching its very first electric vehicle on the consumer market this month. The announcement looked well-received with more than 100,000 reservations for the Xiaomi SU7.
The Xiaomi SU7 is an EV sedan with innovative interior design, smart features, and AI capabilities for driving convenience and maximum comfort. This sedan is powered by the brand’s proprietary HyperEngine e-motor, CTB Integrated Battery Technology, and Hyper Die-Casting T9100 cluster.
Here’s a rundown for its Smart Cabin feature:
- 16.1-inch 3K central console
- 56-inch heads-up display (HUD)
- Two seat-back extension mounts for two tablets
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 in-car chipset
- AI computing of up to 30 TOPS
- Support for more than 5,000 apps
Two versions of Xiaomi SU7 are available and the higher version has a powerful 495kW (664 hp) power output. It also comes with a sub-three second acceleration and 800V fast-charging.
For the price, the SU7 RWD is estimated to be around USD 35,200 or ₱1,956,081.60 while the SU7 AWD has a higher price of $55,000 or ₱3,056,377.50. The Xiaomi SU7 runs HyperOS, the brand’s OS that’s integrated into many of its products, including smartphones.
Reservations are still possible but currently limited to 59 stores in 29 cities in China. The final prices and global availability will be announced during the official launch on March 28. Xiaomi SU7 comes in three colorways: Aqua Blue, Mineral Gray, and Verdant Green.
