Enjoy some arcade gaming on YouTube with Playables feature if you’re a premium user.
Premium subscribers of YouTube are getting more and more perks, and the latest is another boon of entertainment. YouTube Premium has seeded subscribers with Playables in-app. As the name suggests, you can play within the app without extra cost, for now.
According to a report, the YouTube Playables arrived with a notification to premium users. It’s up to them to turn this feature on though. After turning it on, the feature is now available under the Explore tab.
The Playables space includes two main tabs: Home and Browse. The first one has the list of games you may have played and the ones popular on the platform.
The other tab lists more games that you check out and play. All titles on YouTube Playables don’t need downloading. Some of the titles are Angry Birds Showdown, Brain Out, Daily Solitaire, and 8 Ball Billiards Classic.
YouTube isn’t the first to feature gaming within its app. Netflix has a similar thing but the titles must be downloaded on a mobile device. No ads, extra charges, or in-app purchases are necessary for users with Netflix membership.
YouTube Playables will last until March 28, 2024.
