Nubia Z50S is another all-rounder in performance, camera, battery, and display, with a reasonable price tag.
ZTE just launched another flagship smartphone in the Nubia Z50S, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Its performance is backed by 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. There’s no confirmation of an expansion slot as of writing.
Nubia Z50S features some intriguing design elements like the square-like camera island at the back. The handset is suggested to have two rear camera sensors and a ring-like flash. At the front is a lone selfie camera.
Another part of its design is the curved display screen, stretching to 6.67 inches. While the display only has a full HD 1080p resolution, it’s a potential gaming phone thanks to its powerful processor and 144Hz refresh rate.
Owners of Nubia Z50S will likely have no problem using it under the sun because of its 1,000 nits of peak brightness. However, we can’t confirm at this time if the phone has a water and dust resistance rating.
For all-day use, Nubia Z50S is fueled by a large 5000mAh battery unit, which supports 80w fast charging.
The rear cameras are composed of the 64MP 35mm Sony IMX 787 sensor and 50MP auto ultra-wide angle with macro lens. A multi-channel spectral sensor is noted as well but we don’t have the specifics yet. The selfie camera is a 16MP sensor.
Extras of Nubia Z50S include a 3.5mm headphone jack, linear motor for haptic feedback, and Wi-Fi 6E for even faster Wi-Fi connectivity.
According to a report, the Nubia Z50S will have a starting price of CNY 2,199 or ₱17,085. It will go live tomorrow at JD.com, but its rollout in the Philippines is not yet confirmed.
