Bikes can fly too: world’s first flying bike XTurismo can fly for 40 minutes straight

Yes, pigs can fly, drones can fly, fly flies– but you have never heard a motorbike that can hover: the XTurismo bike can do that.

A Japanese start-up company finally unveiled the world’s very first high-speed flying motorcycle during the Detroit Auto Show, while it was covered by by Euronews.

The hoverbike, XTurismo, may sound like an early 2000’s obscure racing game, but it’s nowhere near as old, in fact this is the most modern invention yet, the hoverbike clocks in at 100kph for 40 minutes without ever stopping.

If you’re planning to get one (for whatever reason), a whopping price of USD 777,000 (or around PHP 45 Million) would take to get your hands into one of these. It’s already available in Japan, and a cheaper model will be available in 2025 that uses electricity and costs USD 50,000 (around PHP 2.9 Million).

The XTurismo hoverbike uses 228-hp gas-powered Kawasaki motorcycle engines for thrust with four electric rotors located on the vehicle’s outer edges for added balance. It weighs almost 700lbs and is around 12-13 feet long, and there’s apparently auto-controls to ensure the safety of the rider.

The XTurismo is definitely not street approved, so it is only allowed in race tracks in Japan. Will you buy one?
