The Honor Play 40 Plus is aimed at the entry-level market, but for its price, it may seem a bit too expensive, maybe shed a couple of dollars down?
Honor will introduce the Honor X40 GT with the Snapdragon 888 in China later today (October 13). According to a fresh rumor through MyDrivers, the company is preparing to unveil a new phone named the Honor Play 40 Plus. The phone’s essential specifications have surfaced, and it appears that it’s going to be released in the home market soon.
According to the source, the Honor Play 40 Plus would feature a HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It will be powered by the Dimensity 700 chipset. The device will be fueled by a 6,000mAh battery with 22.5W rapid charging support.
The Play 40 Plus features a 5MP selfie camera on the front. The phone’s rear panel houses a 50MP main (f/1.8), and a 2MP auxiliary shooter. According to the source, it’ll be the first low-powered Honor smartphone to include a camera watermark that proclaims “50MP Dual Camera.”
According to the leaking specifications, the Honor Play 40 Plus is aimed for the entry-level market. Its predecessor, the Honor Play 30 Plus, which sported an HD+ display and a Dimensity 700 chip, was priced at 1,099 CNY (₱9,000). As a result, the Play 40 Plus appears to be priced similarly.
