Elon Musk via Twitter: “we’ll be bringing back Blue Verified on November 29th”

After the beautiful disaster on Twitter these past few weeks that is the swarm of parody verified accounts of famous companies and personalities, Elon’s bird is getting the blue verification again on November 29

Through the Blue subscription, Twitter made it possible for anyone to get their account verified. As a result, many users abused the service and actively trolled the social media platform with absurd postings.

The Elon Musk-owned network disabled subscriptions on Friday and briefly erased checkmarks in an effort to stop additional chaos. Finally, the CEO announced that the Blue Verified functionality would be relaunched on November 29 “to make sure it is rock solid.”

A hilarious and highly dark comedy example of a tweet from accounts posing as these famous personalities such as former POTUS George Bush and MP Tony Blair.

The Blue checkmark is a feature of the Premium subscription, which was previously $5 per month and included some advantages like editing and scheduling a tweet, but was later raised to $8 in an effort to generate more revenue.

Musk made up for it by giving users the option to be Verified, a status that was previously only granted to accounts of high-profile individuals and organizations like politicians, celebrities, journalists, and the media.

Musk did not go into detail about how Twitter intends to prevent imposters from appearing verified, but given the fluid environment in which the company currently operates, we doubt that it has a strategy either.
