A Samsung tablet with the model number SM-X506B was discovered in the Geekbench database in September. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 FE was thought to be the possible candidate at the moment. Now, tipster Roland Quandt has revealed more information regarding the gadget.
First, according to the tipster, the Galaxy Tab S8 FE will be the name given to the Samsung tablet with the model number SM-X506B and the codename “Birdie” when it launches in stores. All three Galaxy Tab S8 models—the Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra—have AMOLED displays.
However, because it is a more affordable model, the Galaxy Tab S8 FE will have an LCD display. Since it will have a Wacom digitizer, it will support styluses.
The Galaxy Tab S8 FE will reportedly sport a MediaTek octa-core chip, which includes 2 x Cortex-A78 (2.6GHz), 6 x Cortex-A55 (2.0GHz), and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, according to a previously spotted Geekbench listing. It also looks that the gadget will be powered by the Kompanio 900T chipset.
The Kompanio 900T’s appearance in the Galaxy Tab S8 FE hints that 5G connectivity will be supported. The Android 13 OS and 4 GB of RAM in the Geekbench ranking are expected to be covered by One UI 5. There is no information yet on the device’s launch date.
Recall that the 12.4-inch LCD panel on the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, which debuted in May 2021, boasts a 1600 x 2560 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 10,900mAh battery that supports 45W charging, a Snapdragon 778G processor, and up to 8 GB of RAM.
A microSD card slot and up to 256 GB of storage are available on the Tab S7 FE. Both the front and back cameras are 5MP in resolution.
