ZTE Libero Flip launched: SD 7 Gen 1, OLED display, 33W charging, all for under PHP 15k!

Meet the ZTE Libero Flip, a compelling competitor to the Galaxy Z Flip5.

Despite its unavailability beyond Japan, this foldable marvel comes with a significant advantage – it boasts a fraction of the price tag. Priced at JPY 63,000 (~₱23,432.99 converted), pre-orders enjoy a substantial discount, slashing the final cost to just JPY 39,800 (~₱14,803.70), establishing it as the most budget-friendly foldable phone to date.

ZTE’s latest flip foldable showcases a 6.9-inch foldable OLED display featuring FHD+ resolution. Adding to its allure is a secondary 1.43-inch round cover screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. This secondary screen, known as the Sub Display, serves multiple functions, allowing users to handle calls, control media playback, and even act as a viewfinder for the primary back camera.

Camera-wise, the Libero Flip is equipped with a 50MP primary lens accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. The main 6.9-inch display integrates a 16MP front-facing camera within a punch-hole cutout.

Under the hood, ZTE incorporates a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Operating on Android 13 with ZTE UI, the device introduces foldable-specific features, enabling the separation of menu items across both sides of the folding screen.

The device is powered by a 4,310mAh battery with 33W fast charging capabilities, adhering to Quick Charge 4+ and PD3.0 standards. With an IP42 water and dust resistance rating, it provides basic protection against water splashes, although caution is advised. On a positive note, the Libero Flip folds completely flat.

Available in White, Gold, and Blue colors, ZTE enhances customization with a range of back covers to match individual styles. Pre-orders are currently open through the Japanese carrier Y! Mobile, with official sales set to commence on February 29.
