Elon Musk’s High Target of 900 Million Users by 2028

After Elon Musk bought Twitter for $43billion, he’s now targeting a total of at least 900 million users by 2028, according to a report by the New York times.

The billionaire is targeting a revenue of at least $26.4 billion by 2028. He also aims to reduce reliance on ad spending, as the social media company is massively reliant on ad revenue. Musk wants to bring those numbers down by at least 40%.

This might be the start of his goal of “unlocking Twitter’s potential”, as he said in his letter before when he offered to buy the company from previous CEO Parag Agrawal and the other shareholders.

A forecast of 600 million users are expected to be on the social media platform by 2025, and will continue growing in the next 3 years after that.

He will start this user acquisition by launching a product next year. The product is called X, but details aren’t revealed on what this would exactly be. However, Musk has outlined several plans to achieve such a huge monetary goal.

One of these would be to implement a subscription-based membership. Elon plans on achieving a $5 revenue per user. He estimates around a hundred million Twitter subscribers by 2028.
