According to a rumor, ASUS is unlikely to release another Zenfone series phone, as the company is in the midst of an organizational restructuring. ASUS also removed the firmware packages for several of its smartphones.
But the main red flag was probably the rumor that many of the engineers who worked on the Zenfone series will be joining the ROG team or sent to support other teams within the company.
Well, Asus released a statement refuting last week’s rumor and confirming its commitment to the smartphone business and both its ROG and Zenfone series that are available in the United States.
“We would like to address the rumor that ASUS Zenfone 10 will be the last generation of the series and the ASUS Zenfone product line will be shut down. This is not true. We will continue our two main phone business product lines, the ROG Phone and the Zenfone. ASUS has a strong commitment to our smartphone business and customers. Please reference our Q2 earnings call for more information. Please stay tuned for our 2024 product lineups.”
Many Zenfone fans are relieved after hearing the statement but hopefully, ASUS will keep their word alongside better improvements for the next Zenfone models.
