Just as excitement builds for Nothing’s upcoming phone, smartwatch, and earbuds, a leak by Yogesh Brar sheds light on the CMF Phone 1’s potential specs and price.
Brar suggests the phone will boast a large, immersive 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for a responsive user experience. Security is handled by an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the CMF Phone 1 is rumored to pack a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, available in configurations with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM for multitasking. Storage options are said to be 128GB or 256GB, expandable via a microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the leak hints at a 50MP main sensor accompanied by a depth sensor for portrait mode effects. Selfies are handled by a 16MP front-facing camera. The phone is expected to run the latest Android 14 operating system and keep you going with a long-lasting 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
Price-wise, Brar claims the CMF Phone 1 will launch in India at a competitive Rs 15,999 (~₱11k) for the 6GB/128GB variant and Rs 17,999 (~$215) for the 8GB/128GB version. These prices likely include an early bird discount, so expect a slight increase after the initial sale period.
While the CMF Phone 1 shares similarities with the Nothing Phone (2a), it reportedly forgoes the signature Glyph lighting and some premium features. However, the attractive price tag positions it as a potential contender for the “best cheap phone” title.
CMF by Nothing is set to officially unveil the phone on July 8th, alongside the Buds Pro 2 and Watch Pro 2. It remains to be seen if the company has plans to launch the phone globally or keep it exclusive to the Indian market.
