News of a foldable iPhone is in development after information about the company developing non-polarized OLED screen was released.
Isa sa mga nagpapakapal ng screens ay ang polarizer. By removing this polarizing layer, mas madaling gawin ang isang foldable phone.
It might actually be a good idea to remove the polarizer as this will increase brightness, at parehong-pareho yung method na ginawa for the Galaxy Z Fold 3. However, this is all speculation as the company has not made any official announcements, or at least, previews of their products they plan on releasing for 2022.
While it’s safe to say that most tech leakers may just be getting this info from a patent, there’s no single reliable source to confirm if the company indeed plans on making a foldable.
For your information, eto ang patent na inaapply ng Apple for their supposed foldable:
The patent includes information about the mechanism and the software driving the display – there’s information about image extendibility (pwedeng i-enlarge ang image to two screens when unfolding the unit), multi-audio playability on different speakers (hopefully this applies to audio outputs like two separate earphones), and resource sharing (a literal extended RAM).
