Introduced in China last November, HUAWEI is now unveiling the global edition of the MateBook D16 2024.
The laptop features an exquisite metallic exterior that exudes a professional aesthetic reminiscent of its predecessor, the MateBook from the previous year.
Upon opening the device, users are greeted by a spacious 16-inch LCD (IPS) screen boasting a resolution of 1920 x 1200, a 16:10 aspect ratio, 300 nits of maximum brightness, a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, and TUV Rheinland certification ensuring eye protection.
Under the hood, it is equipped with an Intel Core 13th-generation processor, configurable up to a robust Core i9-13900H. The i5 variant is equipped with Intel UHD graphics, while the i7 and i9 models feature Intel Iris Xe iGPUs. Complementing these processors are 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and a capacious 1TB M.2 SSD.
Powering the device is a 70WHr battery that supports USB-C charging and utilizes the 65W HUAWEI SuperCharge technology.
Additional features include a 1080p webcam, a power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor, a full-sized keyboard with a numpad, dual speakers, and microphones.
In terms of connectivity, the laptop is equipped with 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 1x USB-A 2.0, 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 with DP1.2 and PD, 1x HDMI, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It supports WiFi 6E (2.4GHz/5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1.
Running on Windows 11 Home Edition, the HUAWEI MateBook D16 2024 is priced at EUR 999 (~₱60,705.05) for the global Core i5 variant and EUR 1,399 (~₱85,011.37) for the global Core i9 model. Pre-orders commence on January 8 for Europe, with sales launching on January 22, 2024. The laptop is already listed on HUAWEI’s PH website, indicating its imminent availability in the country.
