Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 5G First Impressions: A Stylish Trendsetter?

Infinix has carved a niche for itself by offering impressive features at budget-friendly prices. Will they continue this trend with their latest offering? Let’s find out!

The highly-anticipated Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 5G enters the scene as the latest iteration in the popular NOTE series. While this first glimpse can’t delve into its performance aspects just yet, it promises to uphold the brand’s reputation for delivering capable mid-range smartphones at attractive prices.

With those out of the question, let’s take an exclusive peek at one of the most anticipated phone this year.

Design

The Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 5G boasts a stunning design, complete with a luxurious faux leather back that feels incredibly smooth to the touch. This premium material not only elevates the phone’s aesthetics but also offers exceptional grip, ideal for gamers and anyone who prioritizes a secure hold.

This phone boasts a comprehensive 108-megapixel triple-camera system, equipped with Quad-LED flash, HDR, super zoom capabilities, panoramic capture functionality, and the ability to record 1440p video at 30 frames per second.

The phone has two loudspeakers, located above and below the phone. There is a JBL logo above, indicating a partnership with JBL for its sound tuning. Additionally, the phone features a convenient Type-C charging port and a dedicated SIM tray below. While a headphone jack isn’t present, this might be a common trend in modern phone design.

The phone’s volume rocker and power button is located on its right side. This is a typical design for mid-range smartphones so there’s nothing much to see here.

Display

Before the display, we need to mention the selfie camera first. It is a 32MP camera with a wide sensor. It has Dual-LED flash, HDR and capable of 1080p@30fps video recording.

The Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 5G pushes the boundaries of visual experience for a mid-range device. Its 6.78-inch AMOLED display boasts exceptional clarity and vibrant colors, thanks to the inherent properties of the technology. This translates to sharp visuals with defined text, even at a 1080p resolution. Moreover, the display boasts a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring seamless scrolling and a noticeably more responsive experience, ideal for content creators and avid gamers alike.

This immersive display is further complemented by an under-display fingerprint scanner, offering a secure and seamless way to unlock your device, adding a touch of premium convenience.

Final thoughts

The Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 5G strikes a balance between practicality and aesthetics. Its minimalist design incorporates subtle details that cater to a broad user base. The focus on ergonomics translates to a comfortable grip, ideal for extended gaming sessions and everyday use. This, coupled with the phone’s hardware upgrades (to be explored in a future review), positions it as a compelling option for users seeking a well-rounded mid-range device.

Price and Availability

The NOTE 40 Series will be available starting Tuesday, March 19th, in Vintage Green, Obsidian Black, and Titan Gold colorways. Infinix and DesignWorks, a BMW company, are collaborating on a special Racing Edition, available by midyear.
