Apple will officially show off its new iPhone 15 flagship around midnight. But the script was leaked ahead of the event.
Get your PC, snacks, and drinks ready before the Apple Wonderlust event commences tomorrow, September 13, at 1 am Philippine time. The event will reveal the next line of Apple’s iconic products, including the much-desired iPhone 15 series and Apple Watch Series 9.
There’s no doubt that the star of this event is the iPhone 15 and its alleged periscope zoom lens with up to 6x optical zoom. It seems fitting with the event’s name likely derived from “wanderlust,” a German word that means a “a strong desire to travel.”
Tech savvies, enthusiasts, and fans around the world can attend the event remotely by watching Apple’s livestream via its official website, YouTube channel, and the Apple TV app. Here’s why you can’t miss this year’s event:
- iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro: The base version of the next iPhone flagship, along its better variant, is expected to be revealed in full. Initial specs suggest that the iPhone is powered with A16 Bionic chip, rumored to be a 4nm chip. It is also allegedly equipped with a 6.1-inch OLED display and a 48-MP main shooter. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro versions are expected with 6.1 and 6.7 inches OLED screens, and are equipped with three cameras at the back – a 48-MP main shooter, a 12-MP ultrawide camera, and a periscope zoom lens.
- Apple Watch Series 9: This upcoming smartphone is rumored to have S8 SiP, an alleged 6-nm chip. It is also rumored to feature a new health sensor, which includes a body temperature sensor.
- AirPods Pro 2: This new model is rumored with a heart rate sensor and shorter stem.
- iOS 17: The next major OS version for iOS devices and is rumored with a reworked lock screen, better notifications, new privacy controls, and more.
- macOS 13: The next major OS for Mac devices and is rumored with a new Control Center, improved multitasking, new privacy controls, and more.
Meanwhile, the alleged script for Apple’s Wonderlust was leaked out hours ahead of the event. It noted the sequence of every device or series to be presented. The pre-stream is scheduled on 9:55 am with the actual stream going live on 10:01 am. The first device is the new Apple Watch at 10:07 am, followed by the new Airpods by 10:30 am. iPhone 15 won’t appear until 10:53 am while the iPhone 15 Pro at 11:13 am. The event will conclude by 11:47 am or 2:47 am in the Philippines.
Keep in mind that we can’t be sure of the leaked script’s accuracy. What we do hope, however, is that every device mentioned in it will appear in the event.
