Apple’s popular budget iPhone, the iPhone SE, is getting a major makeover, according to leaked CAD renders.
These images, obtained by 91Mobiles, reveal a significant departure from the previous models, embracing a modern design with a larger display, Face ID, and the much-anticipated USB-C port.
Say goodbye to the home button: The most striking change is the upgrade from a 4.7-inch LCD with a home button to a larger, 6.1-inch all-screen display with a notch. This notch is expected to house the TrueDepth camera system, enabling Face ID for the first time in an iPhone SE model.
Another major change is the adoption of a USB-C port, replacing the traditional Lightning port used by Apple devices for years. This aligns with the recent EU mandate for a universal USB-C charging port by 2024 and brings the iPhone SE line up to speed with faster charging and wider compatibility.

The renders suggest the iPhone SE 4 will retain a single rear camera, rumors hint at an exciting addition: an “Action Button,” which could be a customizable shortcut key for added functionality. Dimensionally, the phone is expected to be similar to the iPhone 14, making it comfortable to hold and use.
A potential launch window: While the official launch is expected sometime next year, a surprise appearance alongside the iPhone 16 series at Apple’s upcoming fall event isn’t entirely out of the question.
