It’s always nice to see that some brands are trying to put on the latest tech in their phones aimed towards a budget-friendly audience…
Indian-based smartphone company Lava just introduced the “cheapest” 5G smartphone yet, the Lava Blaze 5G, via the recent India Mobile Congress 2022.
Dubbed as India’s most affordable smartphone with 5G capabilities, we are not yet sure of the bold claims because as of today, no pricing has been announced as of writing this article. A decent MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor runs the show, which is in our opinion, a pretty good chipset.
Despite the Lava Blaze 5G’s 6.5″ 720p IPS LCD display, it has a 90Hz refresh rate and a side fingerprint scanner. On the storage department, 4GB of RAM is what you’re getting, but with a 128GB of internal storage, that’s generous. And there’s also room for external storage expandability as well.
On the Lava Blaze 5G’s camera aspect, a main 50MP camera can be seen and an 8MP selfie cam is really decent to get some nice shots. The 5,000mAh battery capacity is also a welcome addition as always, and it comes with Android 12 already.
You’ll also get the basics such as a Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.1, dual VoLTE, and two slots for SIM cards.
The Lava Blaze 5G will be available in October 24th and it is priced at around $125 or around ₱7,370 here. If Lava’s popularity is assured, is there a chance that they will open up here in the Philippines? We hope so in the future, but for now, let’s celebrate the triumph of quality and affordability designed for people who can’t afford the latest right now.
