With Lenovo exiting the gaming-oriented smartphone market due to poor sales, the Legion Y700 2023 might be their last Hail Mary
We now have the first specifications for Lenovo’s follow-up to the Legion Y700, the company’s first gaming tablet released last year. Up to 16GB RAM and an upgraded Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU will be included with the Legion Y700 2023 (placeholder name).

The new gaming tablet will have the same 8.8-inch LCD with 1,600 x 2,560px resolution as its predecessor, but it will have a faster refresh rate of 144Hz than 120Hz. Additionally, the gadget will retain its 45W wired charging and 6,550 mAh battery.
The rear camera will have a 13MP module, and the front camera will stay at 8MP. Further features include an X-axis linear motor, dual speakers, and a sizable VC cooling plate to help control thermals.
With Lenovo throwing the towel because of the highly competitive gaming smartphone race, maybe they’re just revamping their last old stocks in a last-ditch effort or they might shift into the still uncharted territory of gaming tablets.
