The highest performing dimensity mid-range processor yet?
MediaTek’s official Weibo page has officially confirmed that the forthcoming octa-core chipset, manufactured using TSMC’s advanced 4nm process, will include the ARM Mali-G610 GPU and offer compatibility with cameras boasting resolutions of up to 200MP.
This exciting development is set to make its debut within the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. Previously, we had reported on teasers hinting at the Redmi Note 13 Pro+’s release, alongside the unveiling of MediaTek’s new Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset. Now, more details regarding this chipset have been revealed by MediaTek via Weibo.
The chipset boasts a powerful configuration, consisting of 2 high-performance 2.8GHz ARM Cortex-A715 cores and 6 energy-efficient Cortex-A510 cores. This combination makes it exceptionally suitable for multitasking and seamlessly handling multiple background applications without any performance hiccups.
One of its standout features is the integration of the ARM Mali-G610 GPU and the APU650 power-efficient AI processor. MediaTek claims that this integration significantly extends the device’s battery life.
Furthermore, the chipset houses the Imagiq 765 14-bit HDR-ISP image signal processor, which supports sensors of up to 200MP. This promises faster and sharper photo and video capture capabilities.
In addition to its impressive camera and processing capabilities, the chipset is 5G-ready and supports dual 5G standby, VoNR (Voice over New Radio), and carrier aggregation. It also features the HyperEngine 5.0 gaming engine, offering support for variable rendering, intelligent control, and more.
As previously mentioned, the first device to feature this innovative SoC will be the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, equipped with a remarkable 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor.
