Meizu 21 Pro leaks: SD 8 Gen 3, 1440p display, 16GB RAM, 50W wireless charging

Meizu will go out with a bang for its last smartphone

The upcoming Meizu 21 Pro is set to feature top-tier specifications, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a substantial 16 GB RAM, and the cutting-edge 50 MP OV50H sensor by OmniVision—a 1”-type platform that promises exceptional imaging capabilities.

Adding to its allure, the Meizu 21 Pro will integrate an expansive under-display fingerprint scanner named mTouch Max, ensuring a seamless and secure unlocking experience. Digital Chat Station’s insights also reveal a groundbreaking addition to Meizu’s portfolio – a telephoto camera equipped with a periscope lens, expanding the device’s photographic capabilities.

The front panel is expected to showcase a high-resolution 1440p screen featuring thin bezels and a discreet punch hole for the selfie camera. Meizu is not holding back on the power front, equipping the 21 Pro with a robust 5,000 mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Despite these impressive specifications, Meizu CEO’s recent statement suggests a reflection on the industry’s homogeneity, indicating that the Meizu 21 Pro, while formidable, may share similarities with other top-tier flagships. The looming question revolves around the fate of software support, with the FlymeOS team transitioning internally to focus on AI projects, leaving users and enthusiasts curious about the ongoing support and updates for the Meizu 21 Pro beyond its launch.
