In recent updates shared by Digital Chat Station, there has been significant speculation within the tech community that Xiaomi might be in the process of bypassing MIUI 15 in favor of adopting MiOS
Xiaomiui, a specialized blog focused on monitoring Xiaomi-related developments, challenges these assertions, dismissing them as unsubstantiated and incorrect.
According to Xiaomiui‘s sources, Xiaomi is actively conducting internal testing for MIUI 15 and intends to unveil it alongside the Xiaomi 14 series. They further clarify that there is currently no substantial information about MiOS.
If Xiaomi does make a change, it’s likely to happen in China only. MiOS, if it happens, would probably be an Android-based operating system just for use in China. Right now, Xiaomi’s main focus is making MIUI 15 better for its users.
There’s been talk from Digital Chat Station that MIUI 14 is the end of the road for MIUI. But it’s important to know that these claims aren’t very trustworthy. Xiaomi is actively testing MIUI 15, and it’s in the works for a bunch of smartphones like the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Redmi K60 Pro, MIX FOLD 3, and more.
In a nutshell, the rumors about MiOS aren’t confirmed at the moment. Xiaomi is really dedicated to MIUI 15 and it’s about to be released in October, so it seems like MiOS might not be happening anytime soon.
