Huge improvements over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2!
A prototype featuring this SoC recently underwent a Geekbench evaluation, revealing an impressive multi-core score of 5,977, marking a 20% improvement over the current second-gen Qualcomm chipset.
This prototype, identified by the model number NX769J, is believed to be the ZTE nubia Red Magic 9. It will come equipped with 12 GB of RAM and will come pre-installed with Android 14. The motherboard is labeled as “pineapple,” the same as the Samsung Galaxy S24 device tested on Geekbench. However, the benchmark results differ due to variations in the benchmarking platform’s versions.
Qualcomm is expected to introduce a new architecture for its flagship chips, featuring a CPU configuration of 1x Cortex-X4 + 5x Cortex-A720 + 2x Cortex-A520. Additionally, the GPU is expected to be named Adreno 750 and will include a 10 MB L3 cache, which represents a 20% increase compared to the cache in the current flagship chipset. More details will be disclosed on October 24, a month earlier than the typical date for the Snapdragon Summit.
