ZTE’s nubia Z50S Pro is set to launch on July 20, and the company has already revealed some key specifications
A new flagship smartphone with a custom-made camera?
The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and have a 6.78-inch 1220p display with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It will also have a 5,100 mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
The main talking point of the Z50S Pro is its camera. The phone will have a new custom-made main camera with a 35 mm equivalent focal length and 1″-type sensor. This is an evolution of the 35 mm camera on the nubia Z50 Ultra, which was one of the best smartphone cameras of 2022.
The Z50S Pro will also have a 1G+6P lens, which is a seven-piece aperture with one glass and six plastic elements. This lens is designed to provide excellent image quality in all lighting conditions.
The Z50S Pro is a standalone device, not having much in common with the vanilla Z50 or the mighty Z50 Ultra. It will be interesting to see how the Z50S Pro compares to its predecessors, as well as other flagship smartphones that are due to launch in the coming months.
The launch event for the nubia Z50S Pro will take place on Thursday, and we hope to learn more about the phone in the days leading up to the event.
