POCO M6 to have 5G connectivity

After the blunder that the POCO M5 Series had last year, the brand came back with some much needed upgrades

The Poco M5, including the M5s, was a 4G-only phone in all of its iterations. According to Himanshu Tandon, the country head of Poco and Xiaomi, the upcoming Poco M6 will support 5G. This won’t be the first in the series of 5G phones.

Since both the M3 and M4 series included 5G variants, the M5 was something of an outlier. However, it is unknown which chipset will provide the newest connectivity. Such information will be made public closer to the launch date.

For the time being, we can only draw attention to the M4-like twin camera system on a flat camera island as opposed to the M5, which had a raised visor-style island.

Early in 2022, Flipkart began selling the Poco M4 5G in India at 13,000 (PHP8,636) for a 4/64GB model. The 4/64GB Poco M5 model cost $12,500 (PHP8,304) and was released in late 2022.

Given that the M-series is the cheaper one (coming in below the X mid-rangers and F flagships), we anticipate the incoming Poco M6 to remain in a similar price bracket.
