realme is set to unveil the GT5 on August 28, as disclosed on its Weibo page. This upcoming flagship series marks the brand’s five-year milestone in the industry, yet the initial revelation might focus solely on the GT5 model, while the Pro iteration is anticipated for a later release this year
The forthcoming event, scheduled for the following Monday, will also introduce fresh audio wearables – namely, the realme Buds Air 5. Positioned as a more budget-friendly alternative to the Buds Air 5 Pro, these are slated to debut in India on this Wednesday.
Confirmed details about the realme GT5 include its utilization of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Nonetheless, aspects like its camera configuration and aesthetic remain speculative. A teaser hints at a raised camera cluster resembling the design seen on the previously leaked GT Neo6. This particular design approach has already been featured in devices like the OnePlus 10 and, to a certain extent, the Galaxy S21 series.
As for the realme Buds Air 5, expect them to boast 50 dB active noise cancellation, a trait previously observed in the Pro variant. The promotional poster also mentions a 4,000 Hz UW noise reduction capability. Notably falling within the range of human hearing, this suggests that the new Buds are aiming to selectively isolate voices from ambient sounds.
