The Redmi 13C 5G will be equipped with the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, in contrast to the Redmi 13C and POCO C65, which both feature the Helio G85 chipset. Specifics regarding the 5G variant’s other features remain undisclosed.
Above, leaked images of the Redmi 13C, which emerged earlier this month, showcase a teardrop notch display, a USB-C port, and a 50-megapixel primary camera. It is anticipated that the 13C series will operate on Android 13, based on MIUI 14.
The Redmi 13C is codenamed “Gale,” while its 5G iteration goes by the name “Air.” It seems that there won’t be a POCO version of the Redmi 13C 5G.
According to insider Kacper Skrzypek, both Redmi devices will carry dual codenames, with “Gale” having a “Gust” variant and “Air” featuring an “Atmos” variant. This distinction may relate to region-specific variations, possibly targeting India or incorporating NFC functionality. There is speculation that the Redmi 13C series and POCO C65 may hit the market in October but in different regions.
