Smart now lets prepaid users switch to eSIM and keep their number

You can now ditch the physical SIM and switch to a convenient eSIM without losing your phone number. This innovative feature makes Smart the first prepaid provider in the Philippines to offer eSIM with number retention.

Upgrading Your Smart SIM to eSIM

The process is simple:

  1. Visit any Smart Store with your current physical SIM and a valid ID.
  2. Pay a one-time fee of PHP 99 for the upgrade.

This applies to both Smart Prepaid and Smart Infinity subscribers.

Switching from Another Network to Smart eSIM (Free!)

Non-Smart users can also join the eSIM revolution! Simply head to a Smart Store with:

  • Unique Subscriber Code from your current provider
  • Valid ID
  • Screenshot of your current balance
  • Signed application form (provided by Smart)

There’s no charge for switching to a Smart Prepaid eSIM this way.

Benefits of eSIM with Smart

  • Convenience: No need for a physical SIM card.
  • Easy Activation & Management: Activate and manage your eSIM directly from your phone.
  • Security: eSIMs are more secure than physical SIMs as they cannot be lost or stolen.
  • Multiple Lines on One Device: Some eSIM-compatible phones allow you to have multiple lines on a single device.

Compatibility

Smart’s eSIM service works with most eSIM-enabled devices, including popular flagships from Apple, Google, Huawei, and Samsung.

This move by Smart makes switching to eSIM a breeze for both existing and new subscribers.
