In a significant development, Tecno recently announced its collaboration with Dolby Labs to integrate Dolby Atmos into its upcoming POVA 6 series phones, set to debut at MWC later this month.
Building on this anticipation, the Tecno POVA 6 Pro has now surfaced on the Google Play Console certification website, unveiling crucial details about its specifications. Positioned as the successor to last year’s POVA 5 Pro, this device is expected to make a huge impact in the market.
The Google Play Console listing for the Tecno POVA 6 Pro, identified with the model number Tecno LI9, showcases a MediaTek MT6833V/PNZA SoC. The processor incorporates two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores operating at 2GHz, accompanied by a Mali G57 GPU. This configuration strongly suggests the presence of a powerful Dimensity 6080 processor at the device’s core.
The listing further reveals a substantial 12GB of RAM, with expectations of additional variants at the time of launch. Running on the Android 14 OS out of the box, the smartphone promises a seamless and updated user experience.
The Google Play Console also offers a sneak peek at the POVA 6 Pro’s design, featuring a curved display with a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels and a screen density of 480 dpi. Notably, the render highlights power and volume rocker buttons positioned on the right side for easy accessibility.
While specific details about the Tecno POVA 6 Pro remain undisclosed, the previous iteration, the Tecno POVA 5 Pro, boasted a distinctive LED light strip on the back panel. Fueled by the Dimensity 6080 processor, it housed a robust 6,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. With 8GB of RAM, virtual RAM technology, and up to 256GB of storage, the smartphone also featured a VC system for efficient heat dissipation, contributing to its overall performance and user experience.
