Excitement has been building around the device, especially regarding its camera capabilities, and Xiaomi has recently offered more insights into this key feature.
In a series of teasers and camera samples, Xiaomi has confirmed several leaked specifications circulating in recent months. The primary 50MP camera boasts a Sony LYT-900 sensor with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.63 to f/4.0. Xiaomi asserts that the 14 Ultra’s main shooter delivers a remarkable 136% increase in light intake compared to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
Accompanying the main camera are two telephoto shooters equipped with Sony IMX858 sensors. The first lens has a 75mm equivalent focal length, f/1.8 aperture, and a 3.2x optical zoom, while the second offers a 120mm focal length (5x optical zoom) paired with an f/2.5 aperture. The fourth camera is anticipated to be a 50MP ultrawide lens with a 12mm focal length and an expansive 122-degree field of view.
Xiaomi has provided a glimpse of the camera’s capabilities through a collection of samples, showcasing impressive imagery. However, a comprehensive evaluation against the competition awaits hands-on experience with the device.
