As autumn approaches, Xiaomi is expected to continue its tradition of releasing high-end “T” series smartphones. Following last year’s 13T and 13T Pro, leaks suggest the upcoming 14T and 14T Pro will offer compelling features targeted towards specific regions.
Pro Variant Boasts Upgrades
The rumored Xiaomi 14T Pro appears to be based on the upcoming Redmi K70 Ultra, with key enhancements. While both models will utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, the 14T Pro stands out with:
- Wireless Charging: A first for the T series, marking a step up in convenience.
- Telephoto Camera: Offering improved versatility compared to the K70 Ultra’s macro camera.
- Leica Co-branding: Continuing the legacy of enhanced image quality established with the 13T Pro.
Market Availability and Differentiation
Similar to previous T series releases, the 14T and 14T Pro are expected to launch in Europe, Japan, and select markets, excluding India. This regional focus remains consistent with Xiaomi’s strategy. In Japan, Softbank is anticipated to carry both models.
The Xiaomi 14T is likely to utilize a Dimensity 8000 series SoC, mirroring the 13T. The key difference might lie in charging capabilities, with the Pro model potentially offering 120W fast charging compared to the standard model’s expected 67W. Additionally, the 14T might lack wireless charging altogether, further differentiating the Pro version.
