Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 leaked: almost the same performance as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3!

Digital Chat Station, a reputable tech leaker, has disclosed key details about the upcoming Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, shedding light on its remarkable clock speeds and advanced architecture.

Codenamed SM7675, the upcoming chip is set to feature a powerhouse Cortex-X4 prime core, clocked at an impressive 2.9GHz. This noteworthy increase from the previously reported 2.8GHz underscores Qualcomm’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of the mid-range segment.

The striking 2.9GHz clock speed aligns with the prime core of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, suggesting that the 7+ Gen 3 could deliver performance akin to high-end processors. This is reinforced by the chip’s architecture, reported to mirror the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with a “1+4+3” core configuration. The four A720 middle cores are expected to operate at 2.6GHz, while the three A520 efficient cores are likely clocked at 1.9GHz. Additionally, the chip is set to boast an Adreno 732 GPU, promising superior graphics performance.

The leak also hints at the possibility that the SM7675 might not be the sole chip based on this architecture. Speculations point towards another chip, codenamed SM8635, potentially being a different frequency version of the SM7675. This aligns with earlier statements from Ice Universe, a prominent tech leaker, who suggested that Qualcomm would release these chips in March 2024.

Both chips, internally codenamed “Cliffs” at Qualcomm, are expected to inherit the architecture of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, providing manufacturers with a broader array of options.
